Aviva's Passover
Plate is designed in the shape of fish, in a way that the Matzos are hidden
under 6 small dishes which contain: Haroseth, the bitter herbs, the egg,
the lamb shank, the karpas and the salt water. In order to bless the Matzhots
they should be uncovered, only then can the host begin to tell the story
of the coming forth from Egypt. The opening of the plate takes the inspiration
from the verse: Aat-Petach-Lo = (Thou shalt begin for him). The reference
is to the fourth son who does not know how to ask a question. When the
plate is open you can see a painting of the People of Israel walking through
the divided Red Sea on their way to the Promised Land.
