“Celebration” – Rosh Hashanah Ceremonial Plate
9.5x1inch
Hand Carved and Painted Beech Wood
The design of this plate by the native born Jerusalem artist Aviva Haezrachy
is truly a work of art. Each plate is hand drawn and painted on beech wood using
a vibrant and expressive motif that is reminiscent of the technique used in
painting the interior of European wooden synagogues in the 17th century. As
a master craftsman of ceremonial art, Aviva has uniquely incorporated into this
Rosh Hashanah plate two glass dishes for honey and apples and a stainless steel
honey spoon that is nestled into the center of the hand carved plate for a perfect
fit. To further accentuate the beauty and the meaning of this piece you may
choose from a “Shivat Haminim” motif to grace the surface of the
plate, or a decorative theme with the hand-painted Hebrew words “Shanah
Tovah” (Happy New Year) incorporated into the design. Or, if you would
prefer, a Jerusalem motif is available as well (not pictured). This hand crafted
and signed collectors piece would be an extraordinary addition to your High
Holy Days table.
